How To Add The Underline And Strikeout Option In Squarespace
If you're anything like me, you like to make it clear what you've accomplished (or haven't) when it comes to your monthly goals. I like to strike out any goals I've accomplished that month, or underline anything I feel is most important (in any post I write).
However, when I made the switched to Squarespace, and it came time to write and share my first monthly goal post since my re-brand, I had no idea how to strike out what goals I've accomplished or even underline for that matter.
It's a bummer that Squarespace doesn't give you that option, however, I did find a way around it that will really help you with that little issue of yours. All you have to do is follow the steps I'm about to give you and you'll be well on your way!
First things first, you'll want to do is click on the little bubble where you want to add that text. In the basic section of the the block list, you'll find the Markdown block (top row and second one to the left) - click on it.
You should have a window popup that will allow you to add markup text in it. Add what ever text you'd like to add to your post and that you want to strikeout and underline.
when it comes to adding the strikeout option, you'll want to add <s> before what you want to strike out, and </s> after the work you want the strike out to end at.
Same goes for underlining. Add the <u> before you want to underline, and </u> after the word you want the underline to end at.
It should look a little something like this:
In the photo above, I wanted to strike out "Take a ride on a boat" and underline the word "important!". Once you're done writing, click "APPLY".
Your finished product should look a little something like this:
And that's it! Hope this helps you out and solves that awful issue with Squarespace.
