How To Set Up A Password Protected Page In Squarespace.
Today I'm sharing a tutorial on how to create a password protected page.
If you're new around here, my name is Melanie, I'm the blogger and designer behind this little design studio of mine. I share tips and tricks on how to navigate and use the Squarespace platform.
You can choose to watch the video or follow the written steps below.
password protected pages can be used for:
- client projects
- free resource pages
- sharing a photo gallery
view the video tutorial:
Step 1 - Create your new unlinked page
Decide which section you want your password protected page to appear, and click the '+' for that section. Add the desired page.
Step 2 - click the gear icon for that specific page
The page settings will pop up on the right of your screen. Here you'll be able to change the name of your page, add a page description, change your URL slug, add a thumbnail image and add a password to your page.
step 3 - add your password
Scroll to the bottom of the settings popup until you see the password option. Add your password for that page, then click SAVE.
Step 4 - test it out
Click the icognito tab, navigate to the password protected page, and try your password out!
